Wat. Rong Khun is also known as the White Temple. Whereas most temples visited by tourists have a history going back many centuries, this magnificent place of worship was built only recently
It is the realization of a dream for Thailands noted artist, Mr Chalermchai Kositpipat, who designed and is supervising the construction of this beautiful white temple and its many statues of figures based on religious beliefs. The construction started in 1998 and is expected to be completed in 2008. In addition, there is a gallery nearby exhibiting his paintings.

Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihanis located about 80km east of Bangkok and it is the main attraction in Chachoengsao province. Situated on the west bank of the Bang Pakong River is Phra Phutthasothon, or “Luang Pho Sothorn“is regarded as one of the most revered Buddha images in Thailand.
The Buddha image, in meditation posture measures 1.65 metres wide at the lap and 1.98 metres high, is always seen entirely pasted with gold leaves by worshipers. Two annual fairs celebrating the image fall in the 5th and the 12th lunar months (around April and November). The celebrations and the procession of the replica of Luangpho Sothon by land and by river are the great annual event of the province. This is one of the biggest festivals of this province.
Worshippers come from far all over Thailand to pay homage to Luang Pho Sathorn and also a large group of 20 other Buddha images. What was interesting to see are the Thai dancers dressed in traditional costume that delights worshippers with their daily performance for a small donation. Very similar to the performances performed at the Four-Faced Buddha at the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok.
However what strike me most was the new tall building of Sothorn Wararam Waravihan temple and which never fails to attract the attention of visitors for its remarkable beauty. It has taken more than 15 years in construction and reflects the strong faith of the local people in Buddhism. The peak is 84 metres high. It is decorated with five golden umbrellas weighing a total of 77 kilogrammes. This is one of the Thailand’s largest temples
The Wat Phra Kaew full official name Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple (wat) in Thailand. It is a "potent religio-political symbol and the palladium [safeguard] ofThai society".It is located in the historic centre of Bangkok (district Phra Nakhon), within the precincts of the Grand Palace.
The main building is the central ubosoth, which houses the statue of Emerald Buddha. The legendary history of this Buddha image is traced to India, five centuries after the Lord Buddha attained Nirvana, till it was finally enshrined in Bangkok at the Wat Phra Kaew temple in 1782 during Rama I's reign (1782–1809). This marked the beginning and raise of the Chakri Dynasty of the present Kingdom of Thailand(the present head of the dynasty is King Rama IX.) The Emerald Buddha, a dark green statue, is in a standing form, about 66 centimetres (26 in) tall, carved from a single jade stone (Emerald in Thai means deep green colour and not the specific stone). It is carved in the meditating posture in the style of the Lanna school of the northern Thailand. Except for the Thai King, no other person is allowed to touch the statue. The King changes the cloak around the statue three times a year, corresponding to the summer, winter, and rainy seasons, an important ritual performed to usher good fortune to the country during each season.
